Pineapple and Spinach Smoothie
A mint, pineapple and spinach smoothie is an awesome way to start the day
Ingredients
- 4 oz pineapple chunks preferably frozen
- 1 small sprig mint fresh
- 5 oz low fat Greek yogurt
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 oz baby spinach
- 1 tbsp flax seeds
- 1 tbsp cashews
- 1.5 tsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine the following ingredients in a blender: 4 oz pineapple chunks, 1 small sprig fresh mint, 5 oz low-fat Greek yogurt, ¼ tsp vanilla extract, 1.5 oz baby spinach, 1 tbsp flax seeds, 1 tbsp cashews, 1.5 tsp maple syrup, 2 tbsp rolled oats, and 1 ice cube. Blend until smooth.
- Blend until the mixture is fully incorporated and reaches a creamy consistency.
- Ensure that there are no visible textures of solids, aiming for a smooth blend.
- Taste and, if desired, add additional mint leaves for an extra burst of mint flavor.
