Tzatziki Sauce
This easy Tzatziki is versatile, serving as a great dip, spread, or sauce. It enhances gyros and other sandwiches, adds a delightful touch to soups or salads with a dollop, and pairs excellently with fresh veggies and warm pita bread.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 medium cucumber
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp fresh dill
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1 tsp white wine vinegar
- olive oil
Instructions
- Shred cucumber and sprinkle with salt. Let sit for 20-30 mins, then squeeze out excess liquid.
- Mix strained cucumber with yogurt, lemon juice, dill, garlic, and white wine vinegar in a bowl.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, then drizzle with olive oil.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
